Architect

Location: Kansas City, MO

The ideal Architect candidate will be able to skillfully manage various building projects in different stages, various design staff on each project, and will have excellent creative thinking skills and confidently create unique, thoughtful design solutions envisioned by our clients.

The candidate should be confident communicating regularly with the clients, consultants, vendors, and industry leaders. The candidate will also have experience and confidence leading, working with, and communicating with various members of the Architect One in-house project team.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about the Architectural Profession and should maintain familiarity with the architectural design industry and trends in order to provide the best ideas for clients.

 

Responsibilities

  • Understand and have experience in successfully implementing business development and client-relationship-management strategies and best practices.
  • Grow and expand Architect One's market and clientele in the Metro Kansas City region.
  • Meet with potential clients and prospects to understand their building project objectives, and priorities.
  • Understand a client’s priorities to create inspiring and functional design solutions for various projects.
  • Lead and communicate effectively with the in-house design staff at Architect One
  • Communicate effectively with client, vendors, and design team to address client's needs.
  • Prepare presentations (3D, 2D, mock-ups and renderings) for clients.
  • Prepare construction documents and specifications for use in procuring bids, permits, and clarity of the design intent during construction.
  • Employ project management skills to oversee projects and assist team members on multiple projects of a broad spectrum of project types and budgets.
  • Create professional services proposal and budgets for clients and ensure full project workflow is followed to maintain successful and profitable projects.
  • Maintain industry knowledge and professional licensing and accreditation in order to stay relevant in the profession.

Qualifications

  • Professional degree in Architecture (Bachelor or Masters) from accredited program in the United States.
  • Professionally licensed in the United States. Ability through NCARB to be licensed in Kansas and Missouri.
  • 3+ years of experience in construction and architecture
  • Construction Document and computer-aided drafting (CAD) experience.
  • Proficient in Revit & AutoCAD.
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office software.
  • 3-D & BIM modeling, and rendering experience (Revit, Sketchup, Lumion, and Enscape)
  • Compatible with a fast-paced design environment.
  • Thrives on multiple, tight deadlines and the opportunity to work on projects concurrently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident and comfortable in business development and marketing support roles to develop client leads and convert to work under contract for the firm.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented team-player.
  • Excellent graphic presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, an ability to carry out design concepts to realization.
  • Maintain an active NCARB certificate.

Architect Salary: $80,000.00 to $130,000 (subject to skill & experience)
