Intern at Architect One.
All architects must complete training or internship programs prior to obtaining their licensure. Internships typically last three years and allow aspiring architects to gain hands-on experience. Most states use the Intern Development Program (IDP), which requires 5,600 hours of experience and focuses on four main areas of experience — pre-design, design, project management and practice management.

What our interns have to say:
"I decided to intern with AO because of their vast and impressive body of work and the opportunity to work on a wide variety of project types and scales. I also loved the opportunity to contribute to projects that have a positive impact on communities all over Kansas and the Midwest! "
- Madeleine Carey
"I chose AO because of their impressive portfolio but also because of their work atmosphere. One of my favorite aspects of working at AO has been the team members that work here and the mentorship I have received as an intern."
- Ally Gales
"I chose AO because I thought I would be a great addition to the team over the summer. I wanted to acquire skills used in the industry and grow as a professional and since I was already familiar with AO’s work, I decided to apply."
- Amelia Fager
"I returned to AO to intern after a great experience interning in the Manhattan office last summer! I really enjoy working with the people here and gaining more experience in different project phases."
- Madeleine Gillispie
