Architect One assisted the City of Topeka and stakeholders in redevelopment explorations of Quincy and Van Buren Streets, the two north/south thoroughfares on either side of Kansas Avenue. In addition to architectural considerations like green roofs and parks on existing parking garages as well as adaptive building reuse, the project proposes dedicated bike lanes, cross walks, and other traffic calming measures to enhance safety and accessibility at the pedestrian scale.
